already drowning, a song-cycle inspired by various myths & folktales about female water spirits, marks something of a departure for aidan baker. while still retaining his trademark sense of ambience & texture, the tracks on this album are much more structured & song oriented, embracing a minimalist post-rock, slowcore style & featuring a different guest vocalist on each track.

as always green pitch is dominated by the beautiful voice of rex garfield - a voice that carries you around the record. the music from green pitch is melancholic and fragile. its a new take on the traditionel singer/songwriter tradition. green pitch used to be aduo, but is now a band with drums, cello, guitar and percussions - everything is still played in a very quiet and subtle way.
